Dave Ashley's Publications and GPL Projects Page |
This page links to the publications and GPL projects that I make publicly available. All of the projects are maintained under CVS and/or Subversion, and individual files can be viewed or downloaded via HTTP using ViewVC (links are provided below).
At the present time, for security reasons, there is no direct access to the CVS or SubVersion archives. In the future, to facilitate bulk download of source code and binaries, some tar.gz releases may be added.
Most publications, source code, and binaries can be download, viewed, or printed by using ViewVC to locate the revision of interest and:
Many of the programs included here involve only a single source file, and so the "browser copy-and-paste" method described above will be viable.
I'm also involved with a certain number of "open research questions"—problems that I haven't been able to solve and/or questions that I haven't been able to answer. Many of these open questions have web pages dedicated to them, and the web page links to the relevant portions of the version control tree.
Please feel free to freely browse the version control archives; and even to navigate to spots that aren't linked to.
Please be aware that I may not hold the copyright to certain publications contained on this site or the associated version control archives. (When a paper is published in a journal, it traditional that the authors are granted the right to maintain the publication on their web sites, but that the journal or an associated organization holds the copyright.) I've tried to clearly identify these situations by one or more of the following mechanisms:

The Multiple Aircraft Wind Vector Estimation Problem (This problem was posed by Chad Speer on the sci.math newsgroup in December, 2006. The problem is how to best estimate local wind conditions from radar observations of multiple aircraft combined with knowledge of the cruising airspeed of each aircraft.) |
